EYE TEST FREE?
Yes! The NHS pays the Optician for eye tests up to the age of 16 (19 if in full-time education). Bennett & Rogers also offer ‘free’ specs to children with the option to upgrade if you choose to.
You will not know for sure unless your child has an eye exam! However, signs you may notice can include;

WHAT IS MYOPIA & WHY IS IT AN ISSUE?
Myopia, or shortsightedness, is an extremely common eye condition that causes distant objects to appear unfocused while close-by objects still appear clear. With myopia prevalence increasing rapidly over the last few decades and the difficulties it causes in visual development and education, it is vital to ensure that myopia is diagnosed and managed as quickly and effectively as possible. We offer myopia control technology in the form of contact lenses and spectacle lenses. Both options have been proven to be effective in reducing myopia progression so your child can still decide between contacts and glasses.
